Computer and Internet

Free Internet Access and Wi-Fi

We provide this from 11:30am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.

 

Our Computer Skills Programme

Are you interested in developing your computer skills? Or would you like assistance with job searches and updating your CV?

We can offer free, structured, one to one Computer skills sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 – 2:30.

These sessions are ongoing and tailored to your needs so that you can learn at your own pace.

 

General I.T. Support

If you need any other I.T. assistance such as help using

a mobile phone or tablet, filling out an online form or

any other I.T. related queries please speak to a

member of our staff.

 

Reading Group for the over 50s

Every Monday from 11:30 – 12:30 we have a group

where we read poems and short stories together

and then chat about what we have read and what

it means to us.

You do not have to read aloud unless you want to, you can simply listen and relax.

 

Arts and Crafts Class

We run an informal arts and crafts class every Monday from 11:30am – 2:30pm.

We will provide paint, crayons and various other tools, so if you feel like being

creative, please feel free to join in.

 

Knitting Group

Every Tuesday from 1:00pm – 3:00pm we host a

knitting group with an experienced knitting instructor. We provide tea, biscuits and a

friendly atmosphere. Our group is open for all people of all abilities, no experience

necessary. Please feel free to come along and learn how to knit and crochet with us.

 

         Our Winter Initiative

         Help keep a homeless person warm this winter by

         knitting them a woolly hat, scarf or any other practical item of clothing.

 

Photography Group

Every Wednesday from 11am – 1pm. We provide a 3 month, structured programme

for beginners. We can only take on 3 people at a time so please speak to a member

of staff if you are interested in being placed on the reserve list.

Our Health and Wellbeing Services

 

Outreach Nurse Practitioner

Every Monday from 11:30am our outreach nurse practitioner can offer general physical examinations,

assessments of minor injuries and ailments, help with registering with a GP, basic health assessments and can

make referrals onto other specialised services.

 

The Alcohol Service

Free and confidential support for anyone worried about their alcohol use. You can contact directly on 0800 014 7440 to book an appointment or drop by on a Thursday to enquire. 12pm – 3pm.

 

Health Checker Service

For anyone between 40 and 74. Free and confidential check-ups and advice for preventing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney disease. Provided by an NHS practitioner and scheduled every 4 to 6 weeks at our Centre. Please ask a member of staff for more information.

 

The Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Service

If you would like to seek help with substance misuse issues, we can help refer you to the Kensington and Chelsea Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Service. To self-refer, please contact 0330 303 8080.
