Volunteering

We are always on the lookout for volunteers who want to help with our daily lunch service which involves setting up, serving food, clearing plates, washing up and tidying away. Volunteering hours for helping serve tables are from 11.30am-3pm which include a short induction and lunch afterwards. We prefer volunteers to commit on a regular basis, be it weekly or monthly.

Christmas 2016

Each year St Cuthbert's Centre raises the funds to provide two Christmas Dinners. One for anyone over 60 and another on Christmas Day for homeless people and those alone this time of year.

Below: Volunteers who dedicated their time to help us provide our annual Christmas dinner on 18th December for anyone over 60.

We extend a huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their precious time to help us provide our Christmas dinners. We would not be able to do this without you.

We also need volunteers to help in the kitchen to prepare our three-course meals from surplus ingredients. The hours would be 8.30am until 2.30pm and we ask for all volunteers to have past professional kitchen experience.

We have a variety of other ways in which you can help us, including tidying our clothes resource, giving the hall a deep clean or assisting in our different skill-based group activities.

If you are interested in volunteering for St Cuthbert’s Centre, please call us or email volunteers@stcuthbertscentre.org.uk with a brief introduction and description of how you would like to help us.
