We are always on the lookout for volunteers who want to help with our daily lunch service which involves setting up, serving food, clearing plates, washing up and tidying away. Volunteering hours for helping serve tables are from 11.30am-3pm which include a short induction and lunch afterwards. We prefer volunteers to commit on a regular basis, be it weekly or monthly.
We also need volunteers to help in the kitchen to prepare our three-course meals from surplus ingredients. The hours would be 8.30am until 2.30pm and we ask for all volunteers to have past professional kitchen experience.
Each year St Cuthbert's Centre raises the funds to provide two Christmas Dinners.
Our first Christmas lunch took place on Sunday 17th December for all guests over 60 and our general Christmas lunch took place on Friday 22nd December.
Below are all of the amazing volunteers who generously gave up their time to help make these events so successful and special for our guests.
Thank you all very much, we would not be able to provide these events without you.
We have a variety of other ways in which you can help us, including tidying our clothes resource, giving the hall a deep clean or assisting in our different skill-based group activities.
